• Hello, my name is finalcake!

  • I’ve been drawing for all of my life (literal decades), but I started digital art back in 2010 when I purchased my very first tablet.

    I’m largely an illustrator as a hobby, though it would be nice to try and make a living out of it some day.

  • The name “finalcake” comes from when I used to play World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King back in 2011.

    I played with my cousin back when I lived in Los Angeles, and I kept making alts based on cakes (“tastycake”, “sweetcake”, “shortcake”, etc). I eventually settled on one character and level cap it, and named it “finalcake”.

    After a while I did manage to get my character to Level 80, but after my cousin told me I’m way too undergeared to actually do any of the endgame content, I quit WoW forever.

    But I did like the name “finalcake”, and the name just stuck.

  • I mainly use Clip Studio Paint EX for my illustrations, though I may also use Paint Tool SAI for certain needs such as line art.

    My tablet is currently an XP-Pen Artist Pro 19 (Gen 2) 4K.
